Nov. 20 (EIRNS)–Malaysian police acknowledged the validity of a leaked police memo reporting on a meeting held in Sulu, southern Philippines, last Sunday between ISIS, Abu Sayyaf (the brutal al-Qaeda branch in southern Philippines), and the Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF, one of the Islamic groups in the southern Philippines which backs the Philippines’ claim to the Malaysian state of Sabah in Borneo). The memo said that ten suicide bombers may have been sent to Kuala Lumpur to target the ASEAN Summit, and others to Sabah.

Nearly 5,000 police and military troops have been deployed in Kuala Lumpur during the meeting beginning Friday and continuing through Sunday.
