Philippines Signs Deal with MILF–Allowing Foreign Takeover of Minerals, U.S. Military Basing in Mindanao, and Perpetual War

Feb. 1, 2014 (LPAC) — The Philippine government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) signed another dirty deal, reportedly not much different than the one negotiated in 2008 but overturned by the Philippine Supreme Court for blatantly breaching the Constitution. While the details are not public, the difference today may turn out to be the success of President Aquino’s bribing of the Senate to convict the former Supreme Court Chief Justice on a hoked-up impeachment.

The deal, like the last one, appears to allow the MILF to be sovereign over signing foreign mining deals, thus bypassing Constitutional restraints on foreign ownership of the nation’s resources; will allow sovereign deals with foreign military forces to establish bases in Mindanao as part of Obama’s war on China, bypassing the Constitution’s ban on such bases (which Aquino is sabotaging in other ways as well); and will achieve, as intended, a perpetual war with those Moro’s who are left out of the deal, especially the MNLF (Moro National Liberation Front) which signed a peace deal with the government in 1989, but is now being essentially stripped of the autonomous area it was granted then.

The two sides signed the fourth and final annex of the Framework Agreement on the Bangsamoro, that will replace the existing five-province Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) which was governed by the MNLF. Serious military battles with the MNLF and related groups have intensified since the current negotiations with the MILF began 2012.

The deal must be approved by the Congress, which has recently been publicly exposed as being up for sale to Aquino’s slush funds. If the bill is again taken to the Supreme Court, the world will see how far Aquino’s bribe money has gone in giving him control of all three “separate branches” of government — enough to make Obama proud.
